Just run.

I was trying to come up with the perfect motto, the perfect quote, the perfect thing to say on the almost-eve of my second half marathon on Sunday.

But the best phrase is indeed the simplest.

Just run.

I will do that on Sunday and will do it for nobody but myself. I feel a sense of calm, a sense of willpower like no other and a sense of determination firing up inside of me. I’ve been reading some great inspirations today, like this, and this, and some great tips, like this. I’ve also come across some awesome mantras and I love each and every one that I’ve found as at the core of it, they cry: just run.

See you on the other side…of 13.1.

  1. I’m so jealous…you’re getting in such awesome shape and loving your body and using it well. So jealous because I miss running. But I literally have no time. Enjoy all this running. Because I’m jealous!

    1. Haha! Aww. you can do it!! I know it’s tough when things get super busy, but even if it means 5 am wakeup calls…it’s worth it 🙂 (IMHO!)

  2. Cool post, it reminds me of all things fitness and just doing it, I think the thought of something is sometimes worse than the action. Best of luck for the half marathon.

  3. YAY! I’m so freakin’ excited for you that I wish I could just fly up there and meet you at the finish line with mimosas!!!

Just run! Run like the wind!

    1. aww! SO CUTE! I WISH you could toooo!!! I will run as fast as my legs will take me (which might not be THAT fast, but that’s ok!) 🙂

  4. I love that last one and it entirely encompasses why I run.

Good luck for tomorrow. Sending good vibes from riot torn England!

  5. Okay, is it just me…or do simple statements like “See you on the other side…of 13.1” just give you GOOSEBUMPS!?!?! Seriously. It’s just a few words…no inspirational adjectives no strong verbs. Just a statement. Yet, reading that gave me this feeling of inspiration and overwhelming joy for YOU and your accomplishments. Seriously. So weird how it can do that.

But it’s true. I’m so proud of you.

    1. Aww!! Yeah, it did give me goosebumps too, when I reread the post after writing it 🙂 I am so touched by your support and everyone’s so far, it’s just amazing. Xo!

  6. I hope your 1/2 goes well! Best of luck 🙂

I love the “just run” motto, because my motto is usually “just do it” 🙂

  7. My friend, this is totally fantastic. Even though I have no right to be, I am *so damn proud of you*. Look how far you’ve come! (Funny, I just said the same to a mutual friend of ours, but ain’t it the truth?)

And look how far you’re going! Is there anything you can’t do?

    Just run.
